We are seeking a Mobile Air Conditioning / Electrical Engineer to deliver high-quality air conditioning, HVAC and electrical maintenance services across commercial environments.​

The role focuses primarily on air conditioning works, while also providing first-line reactive electrical and switchgear support.​

Location: Covering Yorkshire, including Doncaster, Wakefield, Barnsley, Rotherham, Pontefract, Castleford and Knottingley

Job Description

We are looking for a self-sufficient engineer who can manage PPM, proactive and reactive tasks issued through the helpdesk, working safely and in compliance with all relevant regulations.​

The successful candidate will consistently exceed customer expectations while operating within agreed service levels and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including Risk Assessments, F-Gas, Low Voltage Safe Systems of Work and COSHH

Undertake PPM, proactive and reactive maintenance works within agreed SLAs

Carry out inspection, repair and modification of air conditioning systems, including compressors, chillers, controls and associated electrical components

Provide first-line reactive maintenance for electrical and switchgear issues

Complete electrical maintenance works including installation, alteration and repair of motors, wiring systems, timers and control panels

Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota (minimum 1 in 4) and undertake occasional planned night works as required

Manage contractor control duties, including monitoring workmanship and issuing Permits to Work

Ensure equipment performance and surrounding areas meet specified performance criteria and agreed company standards

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Skills & Experience

Proven experience completing air conditioning works independently across different commercial environments

Experience in HVAC, air conditioning or refrigeration building services maintenance, including fault finding, installation and repair

Previous experience delivering reactive and PPM building services maintenance

Strong understanding of electrical fundamentals and low-voltage distribution

Willingness to travel as required by the role

Qualifications

City & Guilds 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants or CITB J11 equivalent

NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Commercial Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems

Full UK driving licence
