We are seeking a qualified Plumber to deliver high-quality mechanical and building services maintenance within a large commercial environment.
This role involves carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs and inspections across a wide range of plumbing and water systems, ensuring compliance with safety standards, manufacturer requirements and statutory regulations.
Job Description
We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled individual who takes ownership of their work, demonstrates attention to detail, and consistently delivers a reliable and customer-focused service.
You will work independently and alongside other engineers, supporting building operations while maintaining high standards of workmanship, safety and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out scheduled inspections, PPM and reactive maintenance on plumbing systems and equipment.
Diagnose faults, dismantle systems, replace defective components and complete repairs to restore full operation.
Maintain and repair complex plumbing systems including water and drainage systems, sprinklers, washers, steam cleaning equipment, compressors and hydraulic lifts.
Install, modify and repair plumbing systems, including pipework, valves, traps, unions, backflow prevention devices and water heaters, in line with codes and manufacturer specifications.
Interpret drawings, plans and blueprints to plan system layouts, routing and installations.
Complete testing, calibration, leak detection and commissioning using appropriate test equipment.
Ensure full compliance with health & safety procedures, risk assessments, method statements and company policies.
Accurately complete work orders, maintenance records and administrative documentation, including estimating materials and time requirements.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
NVQ or City & Guilds Level 2 and Level 3 in Plumbing.
Proven experience working within a large commercial or FM environment.
Strong background in mechanical building services maintenance, including fault finding, installation, inspection and testing.
Experience delivering both reactive maintenance and PPM schedules.
Good understanding of water systems and associated plant.
Comfortable working independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
Experience working under strict health & safety procedures, including risk assessments and method statements.
