NextGen Teachers is proud to be supporting a SEN school in Leeds with the recruitment of a dedicated Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join their exceptional team on a full-time, permanent, term-time only basis from September 2026.

This is a highly respected specialist setting that provides outstanding education and support for pupils with a wide range of physical disabilities, complex medical needs, communication difficulties and severe learning needs. The school is committed to delivering a personalised curriculum that enables every learner to develop academically, socially and emotionally while promoting independence and confidence.

Working alongside experienced teachers, therapists and support staff, you'll become part of a collaborative team dedicated to providing the highest quality education and care for every pupil.

As a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support pupils with physical, medical, communication and learning needs throughout the school day.
- Work closely with teachers and a multidisciplinary team to deliver engaging and personalised learning experiences.
- Assist pupils with communication strategies and sensory activities to maximise engagement and progress.
- Provide personal care and physical support where required, always promoting dignity and independence.
- Build positive relationships that help pupils develop confidence, life skills and social interaction.
- Create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive.

- Have experience working with children or young people with SEND or complex additional needs (school, care or support work experience is welcomed).
