Our client, a respected educational institution in Preston, is currently seeking a talented and dedicated individual to join their team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with a diverse group of students with a range of special educational needs, providing them with the individualised support and attention they require to thrive.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Assisting teachers in the delivery of tailored lessons and activities that cater to the unique learning styles and needs of SEN students.
- Providing one-on-one or small group support to students, helping them to overcome learning barriers and develop essential skills.
- Collaborating with the teaching staff to implement effective behaviour management strategies and create a nurturing, inclusive classroom environment.
- Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to student progress, as well as contributing to the development of individualised education plans (IEPs).
- Participating in professional development opportunities and staying up-to-date with the latest best practices in SEN teaching and support.

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a range of skills and qualities, including:
- A genuine passion for working with children and a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by students with special educational needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities, allowing you to juggle multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- The ability to think creatively and adapt your approach to suit the individual needs of each student.
- A patient, empathetic, and nurturing nature, with the ability to provide a safe, supportive, and encouraging learning environment.
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience in the field of special education, or a willingness to undertake additional training and development.
