Summary
Are you a skilled, passionate Deputy Manager in the children's residential sector who is ready for the next step, but wants the right environment to do it in?
We are currently seeking a Trainee Registered Manager for a dedicated children's residential provider in Redditch. This position is purposefully designed for experienced and qualified Deputy Managers or current Managers seeking a supported transition into a Registered Manager role.
Rather than being expected to take on full registration immediately, you will be given the breathing room, training, and guidance to settle in. You will work closely alongside both the Registered Manager and the Responsible Individual within a structured six-month development plan. This plan is specifically built to support your progression, with the view to safely and confidently submitting your Ofsted SC2 application following a successful induction period.
The Work Pattern
To allow you to master both the operational administration and the therapeutic leadership of the home, this role consists primarily of office hours, balanced alongside a mixture of shift work to support the team on the floor.
What We are Looking For:
We need individuals who already possess a strong foundational knowledge of care standards, leadership, and shifts. To be considered, you must have:
*A minimum of 3 years’ experience working continuously within Ofsted-regulated Children’s Residential Homes.
*At least 12 months of direct experience working in a Deputy Manager capacity.
*A Level 3 or 4 Children’s Residential qualification (or equivalent recognised standard).
*A genuine willingness and drive to enrol onto and complete the Level 5 in Leadership and Management.
*A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
