We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Drugs and Alcohol Needs Assessment Specialist - Interims to join our dynamic team. The specialist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, gathering and interpreting data, and providing actionable insights to inform program development and policy-making. Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive needs assessments related to drug and alcohol use across targeted populations and communities.
Collect, analyze, and interpret quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends and gaps in substance abuse services.
Collaborate with public health officials, community organizations, and stakeholders to gather relevant information and insights.
Develop detailed reports and recommendations to support program planning, resource allocation, and policy development.
Provide expert advice on best practices and emerging trends in substance abuse prevention and treatment.
Facilitate stakeholder meetings and focus groups to ensure inclusive and representative needs assessment processes.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing drug and alcohol programs and services to inform continuous improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience conducting needs assessments or research in substance abuse, drugs, and alcohol-related fields.
Strong knowledge of drug and alcohol issues, treatment modalities, and prevention strategies.
Excellent data collection, analytical, and reporting skills with proficiency in relevant software and tools.
Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
