Please note this is a permanent position Working hours: 35 hours per week, (Flexible approach - Monday to Saturday work pattern)Interview Date: To be confirmedThe Salvation Army, Norwich Citadel Corps is looking for Community Centre Manager who combines the skills of management with a heart for Christian mission. The role of is central to achieving positive outcomes for our service users and has operational responsibility for our community programme. You will work to meet the needs of the local community and support the work of The Salvation Army, Norwich Citadel Corps.Key Responsibilities:The post-holder will be responsible for the day to day operational running and development of the community programme, management of the Corps community centre, delivery and evaluation of community centre programmes to deliver the Mission Development Plan. These duties will include managing staff and volunteers. Key responsibilities will include; ensuring the highest standards of customer care, assisting in the management of the daily operation of the community programme, managing the security, health and safety issues, administrative tasks, and the recruitment, training and supervision of volunteers.The successful candidate(s) will:Have proven interpersonal skills, previous experience in a similar environment and in managing staff and/or volunteers, be able to work on their own initiative and in a team, enjoy working with people, and be able to deal tactfully with staff, volunteers and the public. It is important that the candidate understands the needs of the community and has proficiency in English. Candidates must also be committed to the values, aims and ethos of The Salvation Army.
