As a Senior Radiographer/Mammographer at our hospital, you'll bring advanced technical knowledge and the ability to work quickly and accurately. You have a great eye for detail and you're caring by nature. As well as a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent), you have a postgraduate qualification in an area of specialisation. As a Senior Radiographer/Mammographer, you will: Have a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent) A postgraduate qualification and/or high levels of technical knowledge (desirable) Have an understanding and empathetic approach to patients and staff alike Be respectful towards all individuals, including staff, patients and visitors Have a proactive and forward-thinking approach to work Ensure a service of the highest quality is delivered with sensitivity and compassion Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork abilities Main duties and responsibilities: Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload. Be highly proficient in the use of all equipment within scope of practice. Work with leading practitioners and cutting-edge practices, equipment and facilities Supervise and develop junior colleagues To work within IRMER and own scope of practice, in accordance with the code of conduct set out by the HCPC. Participate in departmental audits and Quality Assurance programme. Provide support to the Clinical Lead Radiographers.
