Summary

To be a member of the Practice Team and support the delivery of care to the highest quality and safety. Provide personalised support to individuals, their families and carers to take control of their wellbeing, live independently and improve their health outcomes. The role will require managing and prioritising your own caseload, in accordance with the needs, priorities and any urgent support required by individuals. As a Safeguarding Administrator, you will help care for our unique Slough population by managing the daily flow of confidential information and clinical records. Working as part of a helpful and well supported team, you will coordinate with external agencies and prepare reports to support our work in child and adult protection. This is an exciting new position for someone who enjoys a varied workload and wants to play a vital role in a patient centred practice. Be a central point of contact by managing the safeguarding mailbox and secure emails, processing all incoming information from start to finish and handling sensitive data with total discretion. Maintaining accurate, secure, and up to date safeguarding record keeping and safeguarding databases. Summarise, code, and circulate safeguarding documents to the appropriate clinicians, ensuring all information is tracked and highlighted where necessary. Complete administrative reports for external agencies (e.g., MASH, Section 17/47) and prepare documentation for Child Protection conferences and MDT meetings. Support the practice by contributing to safeguarding audits and data collection to help maintain and improve our care standards. Act as a helpful knowledge point for staff regarding local safeguarding resources and updates. Maintain accurate records in our primary care system called EMIS, ensuring patient alerts and warnings (such as Child Protection or Child in Need plans) are correctly linked across family records. Monitor DNAs codes for children regarding missed clinical appointments and refer to appropriate clinicians for follow up (e.g., usual GPs or Safeguarding Leads) in line with the Practice Safeguarding policies. Engage in regular safeguarding supervision and case reviews to ensure you feel guided and supported in the role. Work with GPs and MDT team within practices of FRMG to assist in the ongoing care of special groups of patients i.e, Learning Disabilities, End-of-life and Anticipatory Care Planning and signpost patients to relevant organisations for support. Assist the Prescription team in managing prescription service. Assist the Reception team in call handling and reception cover to navigate patients into different clinical services. Assist the Docman Workflow pathway. Assisting in health care assistant type of functions along with phlebotomy and covid/flu vaccinations once trained. To assist in the admin functions of Rota and appointment books.
