Summary
Nursery Housekeeper
Rainbow Nursery – Daisy and Rainbow Childcare
We are looking for a friendly, organised, and hardworking Nursery Housekeeper to help keep our busy nursery clean, tidy, and well organised.
Rainbow Nursery is part of Daisy and Rainbow Childcare, a local charity providing high-quality childcare for children under five. Supporting up to 55 children each day, our nursery is a lively, happy environment where no two days are the same.
About the Role
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys creating order, takes pride in their work, and has a good eye for detail. Previous experience in cleaning, housekeeping, stores management, or a similar role would be helpful, although full training will be provided. Parents and carers with strong organisational skills are also encouraged to apply.
Key responsibilities include:
Maintaining organised and clearly labelled storage areas
Monitoring and stocking cleaning supplies
Cleaning toys, storage boxes, windows, worktops, sinks, carpets, and other nursery areas
Supporting laundry duties, including washing, drying, folding, and storing items
Helping keep outdoor areas clean and tidy
Working safely and following health and safety procedures
Interacting warmly and positively with children when appropriate
