Summary

Team: Safeguarding

Location: Remote, based in the UK with some travel

Work pattern: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Open to flexible working options

Salary: Up to £42,182.64 per year

Contract: Permanent

Responsibilities of our Wellbeing Officer:



Play a key role in Cats Protection’s commitment to creating an organisation where every person - colleague, volunteer, or those we come into contact with - feels supported, safe, and valued





First point of contact for wellbeing queries, providing guidance, coordinate processes, and help ensure concerns are handled appropriately and sensitively





Be the key person in the delivery of the I Act programme, helping to embed a peer-supported approach to mental health and wellbeing across the organisation





Assist with safer recruitment administration, coordinate and complete DBS applications, maintain accurate records, and support the implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures



About the Safeguarding team:



Team of 2 who oversee safeguarding and wellbeing across the charity





We provide support and advice and signposting for safeguarding concerns





We support the promotion and delivery of accredited mental health and wellbeing training



What we’re looking for in our Wellbeing Officer:



Extensive experience in safeguarding children and adults, with a strong understanding of relevant legislation and best practice





Experience supporting positive wellbeing and delivering mental health or wellbeing training in a workplace or organisational setting





Strong ability to plan, prioritise workload, meet deadlines, and work proactively both independently and within a team





A recognised professional qualification equivalent to at least NVQ Level 3 in a relevant field





Confident in designing and delivering training to diverse audiences, with excellent communication skills across a range of stakeholders
