Summary

P/T Personal Assistant
Hours: 6-8 hrs per week
Days / Hours: Days – Tues / Thurs or weekend - shifts to be discussed at interview
R.O.P: £15.00 per hr
Duties:
Personal Assistant required in the Kilmarnock area
I am an adult with high-functioning Asperger’s Syndrome looking for a friendly and reliable Personal Assistant to provide practical and social support.
The role includes:
Grocery shopping and meal preparation
Light household tasks and tasks in the community as required
Support with social and leisure activities
I enjoy using computers as well as walking, travelling, going to the cinema and socialising
No personal care is required. I can drive so applicants do not need to be drivers
I am looking for someone who is:
Friendly and patient
Reliable and supportive
A good communicator with a positive approach
Comfortable supporting someone with autism/Asperger’s
Some understanding of Asperger’s/autism would be helpful, although previous experience is not essential. Training and guidance can be provided to the right person.

This position may suit someone looking for flexible part-time work.
Requirements:
The successful applicant will have to undergo a new PVG Disclosure (cost of which will be reimbursed in your first wage) and supply 2 reference contacts prior to appointment.
There is a 6-month probationary period attached to these posts with 1 weeks’ notice within that time if the post does not work out.
