Summary
WR Fundraising Recruitment has an exciting opportunity to join one of the region’s most high profile charities as a Community Fundraising Assistant.
This is a really exciting and varied role where you will have the opportunity to represent the charity within the community, the charity’s supporters while supporting wider fundraising team.
Engaging with supporters, schools, colleges, universities and businesses across a wide area of the south west Midlands (Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire) this is a wonderful fundraising support role – working with communities ensuring the charity’s supporters are taken along an amazing supporter journey.
This is a home based role and there will be plenty of travel across the three counties (and sometimes further afield)
Full clean drivers licence essential and own transport preferred.
Community Fundraising Assistant
Full Time, Permanent
Home Based - (Covering - Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire)
£26,000 - £28,000 per annum + expenses
Duties will include:
• Raising the profile of the charity and deepening relationships with a range of supporters across the area
• Work to increase the supporter base across the region and generate support through community fundraising activity
• Support the fundraising team at events and in other fundraising activity
• Forge links with communities, organisations, and small businesses in and around the local area
• Provide support for special community fundraising-related projects
The ideal candidate will have:
• Experience of OR a passion to work in a charity setting
• Experience of working in either a customer services / sales / fundraising / account management / education
• Ability to engage and hold the interest of supporters (from children through to managing directors)
• An engaging personality - Comfortable with public speaking in from of small groups
• Experience of building successful relationships
• Ability and willingness to travel regularly across the area
