Summary
We are looking for a reliable and organised Nursery Housekeeper to join our friendly nursery team. This role plays an important part in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our children and staff.
The Role
The Nursery Housekeeper supports the day‑to‑day running of the nursery by ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and stock control throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities:
•Unpack shopping and deliveries and put away food and stock correctly
Collect groceries and essential supplies as needed
•Manage laundry duties such as collecting, dropping off and storing items appropriately
•Carry out daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and vacuuming designated areas within the nursery
•Maintain adequate levels of stock and carry out checks of PPE and cleaning supplies, reporting any shortages to the nursery manager
•Ensure all toys, surfaces and equipment are cleaned and where required sterilised in line with nursery hygiene procedures
•Ensure the safe disposal of waste
•Carry out general cleaning during nursery hours including after mealtimes and snacks, after and messy play activities
•Ensuring toilets and changing areas remain clean and hygienic

•Ability to work independently and manage tasks throughout the day
•Understanding of hygiene, health and safety within a childcare environment
•Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning is desirable
