Teaching Personnel is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a Primary SEN School in Wigan.

This rewarding role involves supporting children with a range of special educational needs, helping them access learning, develop social and communication skills, and achieve their individual goals in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils with special educational needs.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive learning activities.
- Support pupils' communication, social, emotional, and academic development.
- Encourage independence and positive behaviour.
- Adapt learning resources and activities to meet individual needs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff.
- Help create a positive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEND, either in a school or care setting.
- A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Desirable Experience:
- Supporting pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, or complex learning difficulties.
- Experience within a specialist SEN setting.
- Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications or training.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
