Summary
Dispensing & Operational Oversight Accurately dispense prescriptions in line with legal and clinical requirements Oversee workflow within the dispensary, ensuring efficiency and timely processing Support digital dispensing systems and distance selling workflows Leadership & Team Management Supervise and support dispensary staff, including training and performance oversight Act as a point of escalation for dispensing queries and operational issues Contribute to staff rota planning and workload allocation Compliance & Governance Ensure adherence to GPhC standards, SOPs, and NHS contractual requirements Maintain robust audit trails and support internal/external inspections Lead on error reporting, incident learning, and continuous improvement Patient Safety & Service Quality Promote a culture of patient safety and high-quality care Support handling of patient queries remotely (e.g. telephone/email) Ensure confidentiality and GDPR compliance at all times
