Summary
DC Personnel are recruiting for their client in Leicester for a Screen Printer.
Job type: Full-time
Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
Pay £13 - £15 per hour dependent on skills and experience
Minimum 2 years' experience working within a screen printing or manufacturing environment required
We are seeking an experienced Screen Printer to join our production team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Role Requirements
This is a hands-on role. Candidates must be fully conversant with, and have solid experience and knowledge of, screen printing processes and production techniques.
You must be able to demonstrate safe and competent use of:
• Manual and/or automatic screen printing machines
• Screen preparation and coating equipment
• Exposure units and washout facilities
• Ink mixing and colour matching systems
• Drying and curing equipment
• Quality inspection and measuring tools
• General production machinery and hand tools
The ideal candidate will
• Be able to follow instructions and work well within a team or with minimal supervision
• Be physically fit with good attention to detail and strong manual dexterity
• Have a positive attitude towards work
• Have previous experience operating manual and/or automatic screen printing equipment
• Be helpful, enthusiastic, reliable, polite, and adaptable
• Have good communication skills in English, both spoken and written
• Be quality-focused with the ability to work accurately to production schedules
Key responsibilities
• Setting up and operating screen printing equipment
• Preparing screens, inks, and substrates for production
• Monitoring print quality and making adjustments as required
• Ensuring production targets and quality standards are achieved
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Assisting with packing, finishing, and other production duties when required
• Following health and safety procedures at all times
