About the Role
We are seeking a professional, vigilant, and customer-focused Retail Security Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers, staff, and company assets while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
-Monitor and patrol the retail premises to deter theft, vandalism, and other criminal activity.
-Conduct regular security checks of the store and surrounding areas.
-Observe and report suspicious behaviour or incidents.
-Respond promptly and appropriately to security incidents, emergencies, and alarm activations.
-Assist with loss prevention strategies and support stock protection measures.
-Complete accurate incident reports and maintain security logs.
-Provide a visible and reassuring presence for customers and employees.
-Work closely with store management and local authorities when required.
-Ensure compliance with company policies and health & safety procedures.
Requirements
-Valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guarding Licence (essential).
-Previous experience in retail security, loss prevention, or a similar security role preferred.
-Strong observational and communication skills.
-Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
-Good report-writing and record-keeping abilities.
-Customer service experience is advantageous.
-Flexible approach to working shifts, including weekends and public holidays where required.
-Complete all the in house and online Training module.
