Job Title: FLT / Telehandler Yard Operative
Location: Bridgend, CF32 area
Pay Rate: £14.24 per hour + monthly bonus of £150
Job Type: Full-time / Temporary to Permanent
Schedule:
Monday to Friday
Rotating shifts:
05:30 – 15:00 (week 1)
09:30 – 18:00 (week 2)
Overtime paid at 150%
Weekly bonus available
Job Overview:
We are currently recruiting for experienced FLT / Telehandler Yard Operatives to join a busy waste and recycling facility in Tondu.
This is a multi-skilled, hands-on yard role involving FLT operation, telehandler work, and general materials handling across a fast-paced site environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Operating FLT trucks safely and efficiently
Unloading stillages from incoming vehicles
Using clamp attachments to load bales onto articulated vehicles
Moving and organising stock around site
Operating telehandlers to manage bulk materials and stacks
Feeding and operating baler machinery (where trained)
Maintaining clean and safe working areas
Supporting general yard and site operations
Working in line with strict health & safety procedures
Requirements:
Valid FLT Counterbalance licence (essential)
Telehandler licence (essential)
Experience in recycling, waste, or industrial yard environments preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
Strong awareness of health & safety
Reliable, flexible, and team-oriented attitude
Clamp experience advantageous
Bonus & Benefits:

150% overtime pay
Weekly performance bonus
Additional pay increases for multi-skilled operators (FLT / Telehandler / Baler trained)
