An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent full-time Skills Programmes Co-ordinator within our Work-Based Assessment team at West College Scotland.

This is a critical role reporting directly to the Skill Programme Manager and is a welcome addition to the current team of three Co-ordinators. This role will encompass managing, coordinating and supporting in many varied aspects of our business, such as:

 Onsite presence (circa 1-2 days per week) at an employer premises in Dalry, North Ayrshire, carrying out varied contractual activity in connection with Modern Apprentices, ensuring compliance and quality are adhered to. Planning, communication and organisation are essential in this role, with high competency skills in Microsoft Excel.
 Line management and support of Work-Based Assessors in varied sectors.
 Co-ordinating work-based assessment, standardisation and verification activities where applicable to varied Frameworks.
 Deliver income targets and Key Performance Quality Indicators.
 Lead effective planning of the apprentice or employee learner assessment and standardisation processes.
 Developing demand for business through strong engagement with external and internal stakeholders.
 Providing and developing strong working relationships with key employers, managing key employers’ requirements and business demands through regular travel to various employer premises across our Local Authority reach, as well as our three college campuses.

Who are you?
You will have a relevant SCQF Level 8 (HND or SVQ Level 4) qualification and have A1 and V1 Awards or equivalent.

You will have the following demonstrable experience and knowledge as below:
• Team leadership / people management and mentoring skills
• Employer/customer/stakeholder (internal & external) management
• Modern Apprenticeships, SVQs and Awarding bodies
• Funding body contract compliance
• Within a defined industry sector appropriate to the role
 Use of own vehicle and a clean driving licence
