What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a highly organised, proactive and flexible Caretaker to join our Marine Academy campus site team on a temporary basis until 31st December 2026. This role is key to supporting the security, maintenance and day-to-day operational management of the school campus, ensuring a safe, clean and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.
The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience in building maintenance, with practical knowledge of basic plumbing, joinery, electrical work and decorating repairs. You will play an important role in maintaining the school site, responding to maintenance issues, and ensuring health and safety standards are consistently met.
You will be expected to:
• Support the day-to-day upkeep and presentation of the school buildings and grounds
• Undertake routine maintenance and minor repairs
• Assist with site security including opening and locking the premises
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures
• Support with room setups, events, and site logistics as required
