As a Student Support and Activities Officer, you'll play a vital role in providing support to students, ensuring that they have access to essential resources and information. You will offer assistance and advice on learning resources, study skills, digital tools, student participation, and student bursary/financial support funds, ensuring that students maximise the benefits of the facilities, resources and services available.
This position is a Northumberland College post working across Kirkley Hall and Ashington campus.

Your positive and helpful approach will be crucial in providing welcoming, supportive and professional services to all users. Additionally, your knowledge of equality, diversity, and inclusion will help create an inclusive environment where every student feels valued. You should have a Level 3 qualification, along with experience in providing support and guidance. Your communication skills, both written and verbal, will be essential.

Role Responsibilities
• Customer service to stakeholders in person, by telephone, and email.
• Providing support to students within the College Future Ready Hubs and Youth Areas
• Work with the Head of Student Services North and the Youth Work Team to deliver campus based events, activities, and projects, that enhance the student experience, to develop character, skills, attitudes and confidence amongst students.
• Administration and support regarding student bursary and financial support funds.
• Offering support, assistance and advice regarding a range of Future Ready Hub services including: Learning and Library resources, Study skills and digital tools, Student Bursary and Financial Support funds.
Qualifications
• You should have a Level 3 qualification, along with experience in providing customer service, support and guidance.
• Your communication skills, both written and verbal, will be essential.
