Summary
This is an exciting leadership opportunity for a confident and compassionate midwife who thrives in an acute setting and is passionate about delivering safe, personalised and high-quality intrapartum care.
As Delivery Suite Coordinator, you will provide visible, clinical leadership across the labour ward, ensuring:
· Safe and effective operational management of the delivery suite
· Real-time workforce coordination and escalation management
· Maintenance of safe staffing levels and skill mix
· Oversight of clinical acuity and risk
· Escalation of concerns in line with maternity safety frameworks
The post holder will be required to work shifts 07:45 – 2015 or 19:45 – 08:15 including weekends.
Key Responsibilities will include:
· Coordinate activity across delivery suite and triage.
· Lead emergency responses and clinical escalation.
· Support staff wellbeing and promote a positive safety culture.
· Ensure accurate documentation and incident reporting.
· Contribute to audits, guideline implementation and service development.
· Support compliance with national maternity safety initiatives

· Is a registered Midwife with substantial post-registration experience
· Has significant intrapartum care experience
· Demonstrates strong clinical decision-making skills
· Is confident managing complex and rapidly changing situations

· Will be calm under pressure, highly organised, and passionate about supporting both families and staff.
