Teaching Personnel is recruiting an enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join an exceptional specialist setting supporting children and young adults with complex learning profiles.
Starting in September 2026, with the possibility of an earlier commencement, this position offers the chance to become part of a highly skilled and caring team.
£1,000 sign-on bonus available for successful candidates subject to qualifying criteria.
Working closely alongside educators, therapists and pastoral teams, you will help learners develop academically, socially and emotionally.
Daily duties may include:
- Delivering one-to-one and small group support
- Encouraging communication and interaction
- Assisting with sensory-based activities
- Supporting personalised learning programmes
- Helping learners build independence
- Reinforcing positive behaviour strategies
- Promoting emotional wellbeing
- Supporting community access and enrichment activities
- Recording progress and observations
- Creating an engaging learning environment
- Experience supporting children or vulnerable individuals
- Patience, empathy and adaptability
- A proactive attitude towards learning
- Strong interpersonal skills
- A genuine interest in SEND
Backgrounds in education, care, psychology, youth services or support work are welcomed.
