Are you an ambitious retail professional with a passion for menswear, customer service, and team leadership?

We are recruiting on behalf of a growing UK menswear and formalwear retailer that has built a strong reputation for combining contemporary fashion with timeless tailoring. As the business continues to expand, they are seeking an Assistant Manager to support the successful operation of their Leicester showroom.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Supervisor, Senior Sales Advisor, or Assistant Manager looking to develop their leadership skills and progress within a growing retail business.

The Role

Working closely with the Store Manager, you will play a key role in delivering an exceptional customer experience, driving sales performance, and supporting the day-to-day management of the showroom.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the day-to-day running of the showroom, including opening and closing procedures
• Leading by example to deliver outstanding customer service
• Providing personalised styling advice and product recommendations
• Supporting sales performance and helping the team achieve targets
• Assisting with staff training, coaching, and ongoing development
• Supporting rota planning and maintaining appropriate staffing levels
• Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally
• Processing transactions and ensuring cash handling accuracy
• Maintaining high standards of visual merchandising and store presentation
• Assisting with stock control, inventory management, and stockroom organisation
• Supporting in-store promotions, events, and commercial activities
• Monitoring store performance and contributing ideas to improve results

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience in a retail supervisory, team leader, or management position
• Strong customer service and sales skills
• Proven ability to work towards and achieve sales targets
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Positive, proactive, and professional approach
• Ability to support, motivate, and develop team members
• Flexible to work weekends and peak trading periods

Desirable Experience

• Menswear, fashion retail, tailoring, or formalwear experience
• Premium or luxury retail experience
• Personal styling or consultative selling experience
• Visual merchandising knowledge
• Experience coaching and developing retail teams
• Experience working within appointment-based retail environments
