Job Introduction
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Catering Supervisor to lead a small team of Catering Operatives and Food Service Assistants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality food services that meet client expectations and company standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced catering professional who enjoys leading a team, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support a team of Catering Operatives and Food Service Assistants.
- Ensure food service delivery meets client specifications and company standards.
- Promote the safety, wellbeing, and development of team members.
- Deliver a positive and welcoming customer experience.
- Manage cash handling, banking, and stocktaking activities.
- Become proficient in company systems including e-prophIT, POS, Drive, and BITE.
- Support the Catering Manager in achieving agreed KPIs and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and client requirements.
- Assist with training and mentoring team members where required.
- Respond positively to reasonable management requests and operational needs.
- Provide flexible cover during periods of holiday or staff absence.
What We’re Looking For:
Essential Skills- Previous catering experience.
- Experience carrying out a variety of catering tasks.
- Good computer literacy skills.
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Understanding of food safety, health and safety, and relevant legislation.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience.
- NVQ, apprenticeship, or equivalent catering qualification.
- Food Hygiene Level 3 Certificate (or willingness to complete company training).
