Field Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) / Engineer – West London Area – Up To £45,000+ DOE
Our client, a reputable independent vehicle assessment firm, is seeking an experienced Field Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) / Engineer to join their team covering West London and North West London. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled professionals looking to work in a dynamic, client-facing role within a well-established organisation. You will be visiting accident repair centres, customer residences, and workplaces, providing essential vehicle damage assessments and repair estimates.

Duties for the Field Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) / Engineer:
- Conduct inspections of damaged vehicles at various sites and customer locations
- Assess full extent of vehicle damage and estimate repair costs
- Consider accident circumstances and note any inconsistencies observed during inspections
- Determine the most appropriate repair methods and prepare both electronic and manual estimates
- Complete image/desktop inspections as required to support imaging engineers
- Maintain accurate records and complete reports within designated timeframes
- Liaise effectively with clients, repair technicians, and insurance companies to coordinate repairs
- Ensure all work adheres to the company’s quality standards and service commitments
- Support the wider team with technical advice and additional assessments as needed
Requirements as a Field Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) / Engineer:
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor (VDA) and familiarity with the accident repair process
- ATA Vehicle Damage Assessor qualification or working towards it
- Proficiency with estimating systems such as Audatex, Glass’s Repair Estimates, or Escribe
- Strong understanding of vehicle construction and repair techniques
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills
- Good time management and organisational abilities
- Knowledge of vehicle salvage categorisation and insurance principles
- Full UK/EU Driving Licence and right to work in the UK
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Willingness to undertake additional training and professional development
