As part of our ongoing commitment to inclusion, we are setting up a dedicated provision, to support a group of pupils with needs related to SEMH and SEND. We are looking for an inspiring and resilient primary teacher to take on this important role. Youandrsquo;ll bring creativity, compassion, and a commitment to helping every child succeed - academically, socially and emotionally. The role will commence in September 2026.

About the Role

You will take responsibility for the day to day teaching of a group (up to 6 children) of year 3 and year 4 pupils. There will be a TA to support.
In addition, you will oversee provision for a group of 4 SEND children, liaising with Teaching Assistants and with our SENDCO to help to plan the day to day input for those children.
In your teaching role, you will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils, supporting academic development as well as emotional regulation and wellbeing.
Youandrsquo;ll create a nurturing learning environment that promotes confidence, curiosity, and independence, helping pupils to overcome barriers and achieve their full potential.
You will also play a key role in working collaboratively with the wider school team, parents, and external professionals to ensure a consistent, holistic approach to each learnerandrsquo;s development.andnbsp;

Key Responsibilities


Plan and deliver high-quality, creative lessons tailored to the pupilsandrsquo; individual learning needs.
Teach core and foundation subjects, as well as a range of nurture type activities.
Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to support engagement, confidence, and emotional resilience.
Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, providing regular feedback and adapting teaching accordingly.
Contribute to and maintain SEND Support Plans and participate in EHCP reviews (where relevant), ensuring each pupilandrsquo;s needs are effectively met.
Support the development of timetables, interventions, and strategies that promote positive behaviour and consistent progress.
Work closely with our SENDCO, with colleagues, and with families and external professionals to support each pupilandrsquo;s holistic development.andnbsp;

Proven experience teaching pupils with SEMH or additional needs, ideally within/across the primary age range.
