Teaching Assistant required for September 2026
Start Date: 1st September 2026
Hours: 17.5 hours (Mon-Fri 8.30 – 12pm)
7 hours (Thurs and Fri 8.30 – 12pm)
Salary: Surrey Pay Grade 3, Term time only (£12.96 per hour)
Contract: Temporary for the academic year 2026 – 2027 (with potential to extend)

We are looking for some teaching assistants to join our wonderful team here at St Mary’s. This is an exciting opportunity for those who are enthusiastic about supporting children in their learning and with their emotional wellbeing. This role could involve working with a class, groups of children and/or 1:1 with a child who has additional needs.
We are looking for people who:
• Are enthusiastic about learning and understand how children learn
• Are able to work with children with a range of special educational needs
• Have the ability to use intuition and work independently where necessary
• Have the ability to adapt resources/materials to meet the needs of the learner
• Can work as part of a team
• Can demonstrate a good level of computing skill

The successful candidates must meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post and will be subject to enhanced DBS checks.
