A highly regarded primary school in Kensington & Chelsea is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced KS2 Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive and ambitious school environment, supporting pupils across Key Stage 2 with a strong focus on Year 6 intervention groups and SATs preparation.
The school is looking for a proactive and confident Teaching Assistant who can make a real impact on pupil progress and attainment. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum and experience supporting pupils in small groups and targeted interventions.
The Role
The successful KS2 Teaching Assistant will:
Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 2
Deliver targeted intervention groups in Maths and English
Support Year 6 pupils with SATs preparation and core subject development
Work closely with class teachers to raise attainment and pupil confidence
Provide tailored support for pupils with varying learning needs
Help create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment
Support classroom management and pupil behaviour effectively
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must have:
Previous experience working within a primary school setting
Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum, ideally Year 6
Experience leading intervention groups
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting learning
A valid enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
A genuine passion for supporting children’s academic progress and wellbeing
Graduates with strong KS2 experience and experienced Teaching Assistants are both encouraged to apply.
