These include: • 50 days annual leave per year (including bank holidays and efficiency closures) • Generous Occupational Pension SchemeAbout the roleWe are seeking an exceptional quality leader to take on the role of Quality, Compliance and Qualification Development Lead at York College.This is a pivotal and forward-thinking position, responsible for leading the quality assurance and improvement of the qualifications we deliver across the College. You will play a central role in ensuring that our provision is innovative, compliant and delivers outstanding outcomes for learners.Working closely with curriculum teams, you will lead the College’s approach to qualification development and reform; supporting the approval of new programmes, shaping high-quality assessment strategies, and ensuring excellence in assessment. You will drive a culture of continuous improvement, using insight and collaboration to ensure compliance across all areas.This role goes beyond quality assurance; it is about influencing the future of our curriculum and ensuring our students and apprentices benefit from high-quality, industry-relevant qualifications.About the personYou will be an experienced and credible quality professional with a strong track record of improving the quality of education within FE and/or HE.You will bring:• Significant experience in quality assurance, compliance and working with awarding organisations• A strong understanding of qualification frameworks and assessment practices• Experience of supporting or leading curriculum development, including new qualification approval and implementation• The ability to analyse data and performance trends to drive improvement and impact outcomes• A collaborative and influential leadership style, with the ability to challenge and support colleagues at all levels• Experience of leading teams and working across organisations to deliver strategic prioritiesYou will ideally hold a degree (or equivalent) and a teaching or quality-related qualification, alongside experience in assessment and verification.Above all, you will be passionate about improving the learner experience and confident in leading change, innovation and excellence in education.About the CollegeYork College & University Centre is the largest further education college in the region, offering a comprehensive range of courses from Entry Level to degree level.
