Summary

Job Title: Room Leader – Early Years Setting (2–5 Years)

We are seeking a dedicated, experienced and enthusiastic Room Leader to join our Early Years team. This is a term-time only position (39 weeks per year), working Monday to Friday . The hourly rate for this role is £14.77 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Planning, delivering, and monitoring high-quality care, play, and learning opportunities for children aged 0–5 years
Ensuring that all children’s individual needs are met and that a high standard of care and education is consistently provided
Supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and ensuring appropriate staff support is in place
Leading, managing, and delegating effectively to staff, including monitoring performance and supporting development
Creating and maintaining inclusive, stimulating, safe, and engaging learning environments
Promoting positive relationships with parents, children, and colleagues
Demonstrating a strong understanding of child development and using this to support learning through effective planning
Ensuring full compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Statutory Framework and contributing to maintaining an Outstanding Ofsted judgement
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Applicants must demonstrate:

At least 1 year of supervisory experience
A minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in Early Years education
Excellent understanding and practical knowledge of the EYFS framework and its implementation across age and stage development
Strong awareness of children’s physical, emotional, and developmental needs
Good organisational skills and the ability to work flexibly within a busy environment
Confidence in managing staff teams and supporting performance development
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
