Summary

Purchase Ledger / Administrative Assistant / Birmingham / £24,000 to £27,000 P.A.

Our client is a respected, long-established property group with roots dating back to the 1930s, and who are one of Birmingham’s most established private residential landlords.

They manage a growing portfolio of high-quality studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments across Birmingham City Centre and the wider region, including Redditch, Nuneaton, Wolverhampton, Swadlincote, and Burton.

As their business continues to grow, they are now on the lookout for a member of staff to join their team, who has Purchase Ledger experience, including invoice entry, reconciliation of supplier accounts and payments to suppliers by bank transfers.

As this is a small office all colleagues must be willing to undertake varied duties and although the below gives an indication of the main duties, there may be other matters in which the Purchase/Administration Assistant would be required to be involved.

Key Responsibilities of the Purchase Ledger / Administrative Assistant role:

• Has good working knowledge of Purchase Ledgers
• Has good IT skills – and experience of Xero Management Account (would be an advantage)
• Is confident and has a good telephone manner- is prepared to assist with general enquiries and logging maintenance requests and viewing enquiries on our systems.
• Has good communication skills – both verbal and written
• Can prioritise and organise tasks, work without supervision and must be able to work to deadlines
• Can record payments received from customers via bank, including payment by debit/credit card by telephone
• Can assist where required with administrative tasks

• Well presented, articulate, and a good communicator
• Professional and polite telephone manner
• Excellent organizational / administration skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Well organised and punctual
• Highly customer focused.
• Enjoys working as part of a team undertaking a range of tasks within the business.
• IT literate on Microsoft word, excel, and outlook

What You’ll Receive In Return:

• A salary of between £24,000 and £27,000 per annum depending on experience
