Summary

Cleaner – HMP Deerbolt (Barnard Castle) DL12 9BG

Salary: £27,426 per year
Hours: 39 hours per week
Shifts: Monday–Friday, 07:30–16:00 (early finish 15:00 Friday)
Contract: Permanent



We’re looking for a reliable Cleaner to join the on‑site facilities team at HMP Deerbolt. This is a stable, long‑term role on a Ministry of Justice contract with predictable weekday hours.



The role includes:

Cleaning prison buildings to required standards
Using cleaning equipment and chemicals safely
Managing basic stock and consumables
Working as part of a supportive on‑site team


You’ll suit this role if you:

Are reliable, punctual and a good team player
Have cleaning experience (large sites/buildings preferred)
Are comfortable working in a prison environment


Prison security clearance and Standard DBS required – we’ll support you through this.
