Summary
We’re seeking a motivated and detail-focused Quality Officer to join our Quality Assurance and Enhancement team at the University of Staffordshire.
In this pivotal role, you’ll work Quality Managers to deliver the functions in one or more key areas of our quality and standards framework, such as:
Course design and approval
Course monitoring and review
External examining
Collaborative provision
Academic governance (committees)
Training and guidance for staff
What you’ll do
Implement and embed policies and processes that ensure academic standards across key areas of activity
Contribute to monitoring, reporting, and insight that drives quality assurance
Maintain accurate, audit-ready records, ensuring our information is reliable, accessible, and impactful
Provide clear guidance, training, and hands-on support to academic and professional service teams
Deliver high-quality secretariat support to academic committees, ensuring effective decision-making and compliance
What you’ll bring
Experience in higher education quality assurance or academic administration
Strong organisational skills and a keen eye for detail
Confidence managing data, processes, and multiple priorities
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and support stakeholders
A proactive approach and commitment to continuous improvement
