GCIL.GK/IW/4.26 Female Personal Assistant
Gill is a friendly and sociable person who loves staying active and spending time outdoors. She enjoys working on her allotment in the summer, takes part in a curling team during the winter and seeing family and friends in between. Gill values staying cultured and educated. She likes music and art, visiting galleries when she can and relaxes in the evenings with watching quiz shows.
You’ll support Gill with her morning routine and maintaining her house. This could look like:
• Wiping down the bathroom after her morning shower.
• General cleaning such as hoovering, dusting and taking out bins.
• Shopping
• Additional hours will be used for other cleaning tasks that Gill needs support with.
Gill is 62 and is a permanent wheelchair user with Multiple Sclerosis. She can get sores on her skin and as Gill’s PA you will help to check the condition of her skin, communicating with district nurses and applying medications when needed. Medical knowledge or relevant experience and someone who is confident in communicating her skin condition, interacting with nurses and applying medications is preferred.
Gill would like a female PA who is sociable like herself and easy going. Due to the personal care aspects of the role, it’s important to Gill that she can trust her PA to communicate clearly. As Gill’s PA you will work alongside her current PA and will be trained to ensure full understanding. You will work around each other’s schedules, filling in gaps and covering holidays.
The role will be 10 hours per week to be worked over 5 weekdays. The hours could be subject to increase for additional cleaning. The exact days would be discussed at interview and with the other PA to establish a work schedule.
The hourly rate is £13.60 and the role is based in the West End of Glasgow (G20).
