Summary
Desian Education are proud to be working in collaboration with a Runcorn-based single form entry primary school that is at the heart of it’s local community as they are looking to appoint an experience and motivated Level 3 Teaching Assistant for a long-term temporary contract starting in September.
This is an extremely exciting opportunity to join a supportive and welcoming mainstream primary school and play an integral part in the education of pupils across a KS1 cohort.
Your new role:
As a teaching assistant within this school you will be joining an extremely welcoming and passionate KS1 cohort, working in collaboration with teachers and teaching assistants to support the education and learning of each pupil. You will lead on small group interventions with pupils of lower ability and additional learning needs, independently planning and implementing interventions in core subjects and required areas to make student shortfalls areas of strength. As well as this you will aid in general classroom and behaviour management, ensuring that each pupil is treated with respect, compassion and as an individual which in turn will promote engagement and focus.
What you need to succeed:
- Full “Right to Work” in the UK
- Be at least NVQ Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualified
- Expert knowledge of the KS1 national curriculum
- Relevant referenceable classroom experience
- An Enhanced Children’s DBS certificate or willingness to obtain
- A true passion for supporting the learning and development of pupils
