Summary
School Site Manager
Location: Brownhills
Contract Type: Part-Time, Temporary (8-week long-term cover with potential extension)
Hours: 28.75 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 7:00am–9:30am & 2:45pm–6:00pm
Start Date: ASAP
About the Role
We are looking for a dependable and proactive School Site Manager to support the smooth day-to-day operation of a busy school in Brownhills. This is a key role within the school, helping to maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
The successful candidate will be practical, organised, and capable of working independently while also contributing positively as part of the wider school team.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the daily upkeep, maintenance, and security of the school site
• Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance duties
• Undertake basic DIY tasks; painting and decorating experience would be advantageous
• Ensure the school premises remain clean, safe, and fully operational
• Liaise with contractors and oversee works carried out on-site
• Assist with setting up rooms and site logistics for school events and activities
• Maintain records relating to maintenance, compliance, and health & safety checks
• Support compliance procedures, including asbestos awareness and site safety monitoring
Requirements
• Previous experience working as a School Caretaker, Site Manager, or in a similar facilities role
• Strong practical maintenance and DIY skills
• Good understanding of health & safety regulations, including fire safety, Legionella, and asbestos awareness
• Reliable, organised, and able to work on own initiative
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced DBS check is essential
• Available to start immediately
