Summary
Experienced complex care worker (client’s home)
Taunton, Priorswood area.
£14.50 – £20 per hour
2 positions available - 36 hours per week = 3 x 12 hour shifts. Over a 4-week rolling rota.
Typical shift pattern: Week 1: 2 x day shift and 1 night shift
Week 2: 1 day shift and 2 night shifts
Week 3: 2 x day shift and 1 night shift
Week 4: 2: 1 day shift and 2 night shifts
**Waking Night shifts***
Job description:
Looking for kind compassionate and reliable Carers to join an established team of carers to provide complex care for a 53-year- old gentlemen who has a very rare form of Muscular Dystrophy.
You must be familiar with: PEG Feeding, Non-Invasive Ventilation, Nebuliser, Cough Assistance Machine, Suctioning, Oral Care And a communication device, though training will be given for all procedures.
The position involves:
Manual handling
Personal care
Following a Care Plan
Record detailed notes
Administering medication
Initial temporary contracts are used to ensure a good fit for both parties, with a permanent contract offered after successful completion of 4 weeks working.
Qualifications
Enhanced Adult DBS
Full valid UK driving licence and ability to drive safely for client transportation
Knowledge of care plans and ability to implement them effectively
Good command of English, both written and spoken
Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating with team members
Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and colleagues
Compassionate nature with a strong commitment to providing respectful, Reliable, person-centred care
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
