Ysgol Bro Caereinion is offering an exceptional opportunity to study a PGCE (QTS) through an employment-based partnership program (2 years) which is sponsored by the Welsh Government in collaboration with The Open University and Powys County Council. The school is fully committed to supporting the Welsh Government's campaign to widen access to teaching and diversify the profession.

The program is aimed at graduates who want to change careers or graduates who have experience of working in an environment with children and young people. This may include teaching assistants, learning coaches or youth officers who wish to progress in their career. Applications from candidates who are in their final year at university are also welcome.

This is a particularly exciting time to join Ysgol Bro Caereinion, as the successful candidate would have the opportunity to train with experienced and innovative staff in a field of learning that is at the forefront in relation to Curriculum for Wales and in creating resources inspiring. The school has a distinctive community and family feel where there is a close relationship of trust, care and respect between young people and the staff. There is a strong element of collaboration and ready support among the team of staff, where each member of staff understands how key their role is in the success and well-being of our children, our young people, and each other as professional adults.

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting the school's vision and thereby making a big difference in the education and in the lives of our young people through the medium of Welsh. The holder of this position will receive full support from the school and its people as they develop into a confident, innovative and creative educator.
