Summary
What skills and experience we're looking for
Scarborough UTC are looking to appoint a Teacher of Engineering to join our academy in September 2026 if possible, on a part time, permanent basis.
The role involves teaching KS4 and KS5 learners, delivering OCR Cambridge Nationals, with desirable experience in industry‑standard software such as SolidWorks and certifiedtrainingin health and safety, workshop skills, or a relevant industry trade.

Scarborough UTC is not a traditional school, we are a college-style environment for students in Year 9–13, designed to mirror the maturity, independence and professional expectations of the workplace. Each of the 44 UTCs across the country have their own specialisms; the Scarborough specialisms are Engineering, Health and Cyber. The specialisms form the core curriculum at a Utc and take centre stage ahead of other curriculum courses. Our students choose to join us because they want something different, ambitious and future‑focused.
