Summary
Job Description:
Encocam engineering are looking for a Quality Engineer to work making sure all our products up to standard when they leave our factory in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. This is a 40 hours per week position.
Role Description
Supporting the manufacture of precision products for both internal and external customers. Being part of a progressing company striving to develop its processes and practices to a higher standard while utilising some of the latest machinery in manufacturing our futures.
Play a crucial role in maintaining high standards of quality in products and processes, ultimately contributing to customer satisfaction and business success.
Key responsibilities and tasks
Role Specific Requirements
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to assess data, identify trends, and make informed decisions regarding quality improvements.
Knowledge of Quality Standards: Familiarity with quality management system ISO 9001:2015
Attention to Detail: You must have a keen eye for detail to spot potential issues before they escalate.
Teamwork: Close collaboration with the inspection department and wider QA team.
Documentation: Create and maintain quality documentation, including reports on quality metrics, inspection results, and compliance with standards. Ability to read and correctly interpreting engineering documentation, such as drawings and specifications.
Problem Identification and Resolution: Identify quality issues and recommend solutions to improve product durability and performance. This includes troubleshooting problems and facilitating corrective actions.
Testing and Inspection: Conduct tests and inspections of products, processes, and materials to identify defects and ensure they meet technical specifications.
Testing and Inspection: Use of Ideagen Quality Control software to produce balloon drawings and inspection sheets for machine shop use.
Testing and Inspection: Use of CMM for component inspections and/or Laser scanner for part verifications. Programming and setting the quality expectations for laser scanner use by either the inspection department or machine shop.
Root Cause Analysis: Investigate the root causes of product failures and customer defects. Collaborate with Sales and Production teams to address these issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Audits and Compliance: Conduct regular audits of manufacturing processes and materials to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
Training and Development: Lead training sessions for staff to promote quality awareness and compliance within the organization, fostering a culture of quality.
General Requirements
Good communication and co-ordination with internal and external contacts.
Ensuring a professional, quality service (external and internal) is always provided.
·Co-operate fully with the company regarding all H&S matters and be aware of the importance of complying with H&S Policy to ensure a safe workplace and maintain the integrity of the environment.
Any additional work identified as necessary for the smooth operation of the business.
