Summary
Main Duties
-In your new role as a Porter, you will assist with the delivery and physical set-up/ taking down of all furniture and equipment for meetings & events where necessary
-Adjusting meeting rooms and furniture layouts to suit user requirements
-To undertake duties allocated through the helpdesk in a timely manner
-You will assist in keeping the site clean and tidy, ensuring that the exterior of the buildings is kept clean and pathways are always kept tidy and clear
-Receiving deliveries of heavy/large loads as required, distributing items as necessary
-You will be required to complete basic maintenance tasks across the site, including but not limited to minor repairs, minor plumbing, painting & decorating
-You will observe local security measures in line with client policies, you will be flexible in approach to work patterns, systems and location to maintain the standards required by the Client
-Complete Safety Walks and report any concerns to the Facilities Manager
-To be proactive in the carrying out of all duties highlighting areas for improvement to the Facilities Manager
-You will adhere to any reasonable management requests from line manager or client contact. Please note that you will need to be a British National or naturalised to a UK Citizen. You should not have any previous convictions, and you should be willing undertake an intrusive clearance process.
-This role involves shift work. Early shift 06:00 start, later shift 09:30 start.
What we are looking for
-You will ideally have previous experience of working in a similar role or environment.
-You will be experienced in lifting and handling furniture and equipment. You will be customer service orientated and be a team player.
-With an energized attitude you will be a strong communicator and always well groomed.
-You must be hands on and willing to learn new tasks.
