ST. CATHERINE’S BUNGALOWS

P1937 – House Keeper (Maternity Cover 9 months maybe extended to 12)
18 Hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity available, working 18 hours per week at St Catherine’s Bungalows, 3.5 hours per day Monday to Friday. (4 days at 3.5hours and one day must be 4 hours)

To complete housekeeping duties in a small residential setting that supports adults with physical and leaning disabilities, this will include maintaining communal areas and residents bedrooms in line with infection control procedures.

High Infection Prevention and Control Measures

Job Purpose

To complete housekeeping duties in a small residential setting that supports adults with physical and learning disabilities, this will include maintaining communal areas and residents bedrooms in line with infection control procedures.
Main Tasks
Vacuuming, mopping floors, polishing and dusting, safely moving mobile furniture and objects to dust behind/underneath as necessary, cleaning skirting boards and
windowsills, handrails, radiators, curtain rails, light bulbs and light fittings, etc.
Follow manufacturers’ instructions to operate all equipment safely.
Empty and wipe waste bins in all the rooms.
Clean bathrooms, toilets and disinfect drains and follow the legionella protocol for
showerheads.
Clean dining area and kitchen, including sinks, and paint work if necessary.
Report any defects or potential hazard that may cause harm to a client or member of staff or damage equipment and / or furniture, so that corrective action may be taken immediately.
Refill and replace consumables in bathrooms and communal areas as identified.
Contribute to the health & safety of the environment.
Undertake additional duties/tasks which may be identified in consultation with the
Manager.

TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT

Attend mandatory training as required.
Maintain professional knowledge and competence.
