Summary
Registered Night Nurse
Nursing Home Setting - Lancashire
£20.11 per hour
Permanent Nights - Average 42 hours per week
Week 1: 4 nights (48 hours)
Week 2: 3 nights (36 hours)
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and compassionate RGN or RMN Night Nurse to join a well-established, friendly nursing home in the North West. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated nurse who is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care within a supportive and professional environment.
This role would suit someone with previous nursing home or elderly care experience who is confident leading shifts overnight and committed to maintaining exceptional standards of care for residents.
The Role
As Night Nurse, you will take responsibility for delivering safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care throughout the night. You will support residents with dignity and respect while leading and supporting the wider care team to ensure excellent clinical standards are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver and oversee high standards of nursing and personal care
Develop and implement individualised care plans
Safely administer and manage medications
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records
Support and supervise care staff during night shifts
Ensure compliance with safeguarding, infection control, Health & Safety, and care regulations
Act as a named nurse for allocated residents
Participate in care reviews, team meetings, and ongoing training
Promote a calm, welcoming, and professional atmosphere for residents and relatives
Maintain NMC registration and mandatory training requirements
About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
Hold a valid NMC registration as an RGN or RMN
Have previous experience within a nursing home or elderly care setting
Be confident with medication management and care planning
Demonstrate a compassionate, patient, and professional approach
Have strong communication and leadership skills
Work well independently and as part of a team
Be reliable, organised, and committed to delivering outstanding care
