About the roleWe're looking for a reliable, calm and proactive Waking Night Support Worker to join our team in Trowbridge (BA14), supporting three gentlemen aged 30s-60s with mild learning disabilities and epilepsy (well managed with medication).
This is a weekend-only waking night role, where your support plays a vital part in ensuring people feel safe, comfortable and reassured throughout the night.
Who you will be supportingThe gentlemen you'll support are sociable, active and enjoy:
- Getting out into the community and socialising
- Visiting friends and exploring new places
- Relaxing with food, TV and shared downtime
- Having fun, laughing and building strong relationships with staff
Your support overnight helps create a smooth, settled environment between their active days.
What you will be doing (Waking Nights)As a waking night support worker, you'll remain awake and alert throughout your shift, providing essential overnight support, including:
- Carrying out regular safety and wellbeing checks
- Supporting personal care needs when required
- Administering medication in line with training
- Providing reassurance and maintaining a calm environment
- Responding to any needs or changes overnight
- Completing accurate records and handovers for day staff
Shift patternsThis is a fixed weekend role, including:
- Saturday: 10:00pm - 7:00am
- Sunday: 10:00pm - 7:00am

Experience is helpful, but not essential — full training will be provided.
