Summary
An opportunity has arisen to join the award-winning Derbyshire Catering Service as a Catering Supervisor at St Albans Catholic School.
This role is responsible for the daily operation of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, service delivery, and completion of administrative tasks using a digital management system. Compliance with food hygiene standards, health and safety regulations, and operational procedures is essential at all times.
The successful candidate will oversee service delivery to ensure efficient, consistent, and compliant catering operations within a school environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day kitchen operations
Prepare, cook and serve meals in line with service requirements
Maintain accurate records using digital systems
Ensure adherence to food hygiene and health & safety standards
Qualifications and Experience
NVQ Level 2 in Catering and Hospitality (or equivalent experience)
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2)
Knowledge of health and safety requirements in a catering environment
Experience in a supervisory or senior catering role
Additional Information
Starting salary within the grade is negotiable, dependent on experience, current salary, and qualifications.
