About the role
Job Title: Catering Assistant
School Location: The National Mathematics and Science College, Coventry, CV4 8JB
Working Days: 3 days a week including weekends on a rota basis
Shifts & Working hours: Shifts either 6.30am-3pm or 11.30am-8pm (Monday- Friday)
Saturday & Sunday 9.30am-3.30pm or 1pm-8pm
Total hours 25 per week (overtime avaliable)
Working Weeks: 43 weeks per year
Pay Details: £15,474.75 per Annum
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Catering Assistant, you’ll support our high-standard catering teams, helping deliver fresh, beautifully presented meals to students in our independent schools.
Your responsibilities will include:
Preparing and serving meals and snacks to a high standard
Assisting with plating, presentation, and counter service
Supporting the kitchen team with food prep
Maintaining a clean, organised, and hygienic kitchen and dining area
Providing friendly and professional service to all students and staff
What we’re looking for:
Experience in catering or hospitality (School catering is prefereable but not essential)
A passion for food and high standards
Teamwork skills and reliability
Flexible approach to working hours to support school schedules
