Summary
ROLE: Mobile Authorised PersonHOURS: 40 Hours LOCATION: East Scotland

We're looking for a Mobile Authorised Person who will ensure compliance with JSP375 and support the effective delivery of maintenance and Additional Works across their area of responsibility.
Role Responsibilities:
-Accept responsibility for the practical implementation and operation of JSP375 to support the effective and timely delivery of Additional Works, planned and response maintenance.
-Produce high-quality Risk Assessments and Method Statements, issue safety programmes and Permits to Work, and ensure all documentation is completed and recorded in a timely manner.
-Assess competence of Skilled Persons, provide supervision, training and coaching, and ensure safe systems of work are followed at all times.
-Manage project work, liaise with stakeholders including DIO, Authorising Engineers and end users, and ensure works are completed to required standards.
-Support a strong safety culture, manage risk, reduce corrective actions (CARs), and identify opportunities to support MoD carbon reduction targets.
Required Qualifications: applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.
-HND in Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline) or equivalent experience.
-Significant practical experience of Safe Systems of Work including JSP375 and operational delivery.
-Management-level Health & Safety qualification (e.g. SMSTS) with knowledge of supervision, planning, and resource management.
-Technical qualifications and training as required by JSP375 including Emergency First Aid and Fire Safety.
-Strong problem-solving ability, ability to work on own initiative, and experience collaborating across teams.
