We’re recruiting a Maintenance Plumber to join our secure, single-site facilities team at HMP Stocken, working on a long‑term, stable contract supporting essential services within the prison.

What you’ll be doing
You’ll carry out a mix of planned and reactive plumbing work, helping to keep the site safe, compliant and fully operational. This includes:
General plumbing repairs and maintenance
Working on mains water systems
Fault‑finding and repairing equipment
Inspections, water sampling and basic risk assessments
Identifying and reporting life‑expired equipment
What we’re looking for
We’re keen to hear from practical, hands‑on plumbers who can work safely and confidently in a structured environment:
NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent)
Experience in plumbing maintenance
Full UK driving licence
Comfortable working in a commercial or similar environment
Legionella awareness is desirable but not essential — training can be provided.
Prison security clearance is required — we’ll support you fully through the process.
